Byzantine - 90x108 Inches
Ajrakh print is practiced in the Ajrakhpur in the Kutch region of Gujarat. It is a form of block printing using natural dyes. Common colours being red and blue. Apparently ajrakh comes from the Persian word Azrakh which means "blue". This is as typically ajrakh as it gets - the double layered bed cover with Ajrakh print on cotton in red and blue is hand sewn using Kantha stitch or standard running stitch across the cover. The double layer of the coverlet makes it sit well. it also works very well as a double dohar if one would like to so use it.
